AFP, Bangladesh mulls defense cooperation through training and education

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City — Sharing a similar vision in building good relationships with partner countries, MGen Noel Beleran PN(M), Deputy Chief of Staff for Education, Training and Doctrine, J8 meets with BGen Kazi Anisuzzaman, Directing Staff Army-6, National Defense College, Mirpur Cantonment in a Courtesy Visit here on September 20.

“We are planning to establish our defense cooperation and our shared responsibility through education and training in pursuit of a more stable Indo-Pacific,” said MGen Beleran.

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City — The Deputy Chief of Staff for Education, Training and Doctrine, J8, MGen Noel Beleran PN(M) welcomed the delegates of the Australian Command and Staff College headed by the Australian Defence College, Wing Commander Nicholas Pausina in their Study Visit to the country on September 19 at the AFP Headquarters. 

“We are really looking forward to the opportunity to engage today. It is very much about the opportunity to expand our relationship. We are hoping to learn a lot,” said Wing Commander Pausina.

The Armed Forces of the Philippines Real Estate Office (AFPREO) welcomed its new Chief, Col Froilando G Angat PAF(GSC) replacing Col Arcangel G Gamido PAF(GSC) in a Change of Chief of Office Ceremony conducted with The Deputy Chief of Staff, AFP (TDCSAFP), LtGen Charlton Sean M Gaerlan PN(M) as the Presiding Officer on September 19 in Camp Aguinaldo.
 
“As the AFP pivots to a modernized Armed Forces, the role of the AFPREO is significant, more so in securing and maintaining the rights of the AFP over its real estate properties all over the country. To the Team AFPREO, the dedication to the service of your office is more significant now than ever. I urge you to give the same amount of enthusiasm and support to your new Chief, keeping in mind that as you fulfill the mandate that is expected of you, you are furthering the AFP’s vision of becoming a world-class Armed Forces that is a source of national pride,” said LtGen Gaerlan.

AFP RECEIVES NEW ISR AIRCRAFT

The Armed Forces of the Philippines received a brand-new Cessna-208B (C-208B) Grand Caravan EX Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) aircraft on September 19 that will boost the AFP’s capability to protect Philippine territory and sovereign rights.

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—General Romeo Brawner Jr, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, expressed his appreciation to the Australian Army during the courtesy visit of Australia’s Army Chief, LtGen Simon Stuart on September 18 at the AFP General Headquarters here.

In their meeting, the two discussed PH-Aus bilateral military partnership, including training, student exchanges, reservist development, non-commissioned officer empowerment, and recruitment.
