AFP holds Technical and Admin Services Solidarity Fun Run

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The Office of the Adjutant General (OTAG), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) conducted the Technical and Administrative Services (TAS) Solidarity Fun Run with The Deputy Chief of Staff, AFP, LtGen Charlton Sean Gaerlan PN(M) as the Guest of Honor and Speaker on November 16 at the Lapulapu Grandstand. 

With the theme: “Stride Together, Unite Forever: Stronger TAS for the AFP,” officers, enlisted personnel, Civilian Human Resources, and dependents from the TAS Corps/Service, General Headquarters, Unified Commands, AFP-Wide Support and Separate Units, and Major Services participated in the activity.

AFP conducts GAD Executive Briefing 2023

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The Armed Forces of the Philippines, through the Gender and Development Office, conducted a hybrid Executive Briefing to engage members of the AFP GAD Focal Point System (GFPS) on the AFP’s mainstreaming initiatives on November 15 here at the General Headquarters.

The GAD Executive Briefing was participated by the AFP and Major Services GFPS and the Chairpersons of the GAD Focal Point Committee (GFPC) from GHQ units and offices, Unified Commands, and AFP-Wide Support and Separate Units, with resource speakers from the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) and the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity (OPAPRU) who discussed gender mainstreaming and strategies in the defense and security sector, and the Philippine National Action Plan on Women, Peace, and Security.

PH, US troops open jungle obstacle course

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City--Filipino and American marines involved in this year's Kamandag Exercises built a jungle obstacle course in Camp Bojeador, Ilocos Norte on November 15.

The groundbreaking was held at the headquarters of the 4th Marine Brigade with General Romeo Brawner Jr, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, gracing the event and emphasizing its significance in strengthening the bond between the Philippines and the US.

AFP tests firepower in AJEX DAGITPA

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) tested its combined arms firepower in a live fire exercise on November 15 as part of the AFP Joint Exercise Dagat-Langit-Lupa (AJEX DAGITPA) in Burgos, Ilocos Norte.

The Armed Forces of the Philippines renders arrival honors to the newly promoted LtGen Steve Crespillo, The Inspector General AFP, following the donning of ranks ceremony held at the AFP General Headquarters in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City on November 14.

The personal honors are being rendered to military officers, including the newly promoted generals and flag officers in the General Headquarters, their respective Major Service, and their own headquarters.
