ROTC wins in latest national cadets games

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City--Senator Francis Tolentino lauded the just concluded national championships of the Reserve Officers Training Course (ROTC) Games for fulfilling its goal to raise awareness on and rally support for the military training program for the youth.

The ROTC Games held its closing ceremony on October 28 at the Philippine Air Force Gymnasium in Pasay City and awarded the cadets who scored a podium finish in different professionally sanctioned events.

Army cadets crowned champions in 2023 ROTC Games

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City--Philippine Army cadets were hailed as the overall champion of the Philippine Reserve Officers Training Course (ROTC) Games that concluded on October 28 at the Philippine Air Force Gymnasium in Pasay City.

They bagged a total of 54 medals, with 20 golds, 16 silvers, and 18 bronze in the national championship games that capped the two-month competition across the Philippines.

AFP, Canada conclude business planning course

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the Directorate of Military Training Cooperation of the Canadian Armed Forces concluded the Business Planning Course 2023, a training activity they co-hosted, in Clark, Pampanga from October 23-27. 

BPC aimed to enhance strategic planning, resource management, and decision-making skills. Thirty-three military and civilian students from eight different countries participated in the activity.

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—Thirty-one newly promoted generals and flag officers led by the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, General Romeo Brawner Jr, took their oath of office before the President and Commander in Chief, His Excellency Ferdinand Marcos Jr, on October 27 in Malacañan Palace.

The oath-taking signifies the officers’ commitment to the performance of their duties and responsibilities as public servants and leaders who will steer the AFP in the accomplishment of its mandate of protecting the people and securing the state.

AFP installs new public affairs chief

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City--The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) formally installed Col Xerxes Trinidad as the new chief of the Public Affairs Office AFP (PAOAFP) on October 27 at the General Headquarters here.

Col Trinidad replaced LtCol Enrico Gil Ileto, who moved on to pursue full time his Master’s in National Security Administration, in the ceremony presided by LtGen Charlton Sean Gaerlan, The Deputy Chief of Staff AFP.
