Brawner to Rangers: Bring Laudable Success in Countless Operations in ending Fight Against CTGs

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—General Romeo Brawner Jr, the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (CSAFP), reiterated to the officers and enlisted personnel of the First Scout Ranger Regiment (FSRR) the order of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr to end communist armed conflict in the country this year.

In his speech as Guest of Honor and Speaker in the Change of Command Ceremony of the FSRR in Bulacan on Wednesday, July 26, the CSAFP also cited the contributions of the AFP scout rangers in strategic and tactical victories, including the defeat of high-value individuals of the communist terrorist group (CTG).

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – Marking the start of friendly competitions among dependents of uniformed service members, the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) hosted the Opening of the AFP-PNP-PCG-BFP-BJMP Little Olympics 2023 on July 25 at the Lapu-Lapu Grandstand. 

Embodying the spirit of unity and sportsmanship, this year’s event was joined by the dependents of uniformed personnel and civilian human resources from the AFP, Philippine National Police (PNP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP). 

AFP Chief to Promoted Officers: Remember the Hard Work and Sacrifices of our Predecessors

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City--General Romeo Brawner Jr, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (CSAFP), urged newly promoted generals to honor the legacy of their predecessors in a donning of ranks ceremony 9 a.m. today here. 

"We have been bestowed the honor and responsibility to ensure that the hard work and sacrifices of our predecessors are not forgotten," the CSAFP said to the newly promoted officers. 

AFP STATEMENT | AFP prepares vehicles for "Libreng Sakay" ops

In support to the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA), the Armed Forces of the Philippines will be providing 17 military trucks, buses, and coasters from the AFP Major Services and AFP Logistics Command to assist commuters who may be affected by the transport strike on July 24 and the following days.
 
This is also part of the AFP's efforts to help ensure the peaceful and orderly conduct of the President's State of the Nation Address today.
 
The vehicles for the Libreng Sakay will be under the operational control of the JTF-National Capital Region. They are in their respective headquarters until they are given service routes determined by the DOTr and the MMDA. The military vehicles will be deployed when called upon by the Interagency Coordinating Center.

General Romeo S Brawner Jr officially took the helm of the Armed Forces of the Philippines today, July 21, 2023 in a Change of Command and Retirement Ceremony in honor of General Andres Centino PA that was presided over by the President His Excellency Ferdinand R Marcos Jr. General Brawner was promoted to a four-star general and officially assumed post as the 60th Chief of Staff, AFP.
