12 BIFF members yield to AFP in Maguindanao

Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City - Twelve Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF), including a sub-leader and his deputy, decided to abandon their armed struggle and return to the fold of the law in Maguindanao on March 30, 2022.

According to Lt. Gen. Alfredo Rosario Jr., Commander of the AFP's Western Mindanao Command (WESTMINCOM), Anwar Pegas, a sub-leader of the BIFF-Karialan Faction; Zukarno Sailila, his deputy; and 10 of their followers voluntarily surrendered to Lt. Col. Edwin Alburo, Commanding Officer of the 40th Infantry Battalion (40IB) at 40IB headquarters in Barangay Kabengi, Datu Saudi Ampatuan, Maguindanao.

AFP Chief of Staff urges soldiers to be always at their best

CAMP AGUINALDO, QUEZON CITY - The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff General Andres C Centino enjoins all soldiers to always be in shape and to be at their best in performing their mandate of protecting the people and securing the state.

In his visit to the Joint Task Force – National Capital Region (JTF-NCR) under Brig. General Marceliano Teofilo on March 30, General Centino commended the military and civilian personnel of the JTF-NCR for successfully performing their mandate and pressed them to perform at their highest level.

PH-US Military Free Fallers conduct Balikatan Friendship Jump

CAMP AGUINALDO QUEZON CITY- A total of 251 Special Operations Forces Military Free Faller and Airborne qualified from major special operations forces in connection to Balikatan 37-2022 conducted a Friendship Jump on March 28 and 29, 2022. This is part of the Combined Interoperability Events of the Combine Joint Special Operation Forces of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the United States Indo- Pacific Command.

PH-US Military Forces build learning facility in Cagayan

CAMP AGUINALDO, QUEZON CITY – Combined troops of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the United States Indo-Pacific Command are currently building a school facility in Masi Elementary School, Rizal, Cagayan as part of the Engineering Civic Action Project (ENCAP) of the Balikatan.

AFP Chief of Staff joins Peace Covenant Signing in Samar

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City - To reaffirm the military’s commitment to a secure and peaceful national and local elections, the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) joined other participants in the Peace Covenant signing held at the 8th Infantry Division headquarters in Camp General Vicente Lukban, Catbalogan, Samar on March 29.

“I commit to our people that as Chief of Staff of the AFP, we will ensure credible and safe elections as directed by President Rodrigo Duterte. We will be there to assure that you will be safe and secure on election day,” AFP Chief of Staff, General Andres Centino said.
