Capt Lemi Zik, Defense Attaché of Turkey to the Philippines, made an exit call to the acting Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Lieutenant General Erickson R Gloria, the AFP Vice Chief of Staff at the General Headquarters Building, Camp Aguinaldo on March 22.

Capt Zik started his exit call to key officials of the AFP before his term as defense attaché ends on March 31. CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City - Three members of the communist NPA terrorists (CNTs) were killed, one captured in an encounter with the soldiers of 58th Infantry battalion under the 4th Infantry Division, Philippine Army in Sitio Solana, Barangay Plaridel, Claveria, Misamis Oriental on March 18, at 7:05 a.m.

Soldiers were on combat operation when they encountered more or less seven CNTs believed to be members of Weakened Guerilla Front (WGF Huawei, Sub Regional Command (SRC)1, North Central Mindanao Regional Committee (NCMRC).

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City - Thirty-nine members of different local terrorist groups (LTGs) surrendered along with their firearms to the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) in Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao on Friday, March 18.

The 21 identified members of Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF)-Bungos Faction, 12 from the BIFF-Karialan Faction, and six (6) from Dawlah Islamiya-Turaife Group voluntarily submitted themselves at the Headquarters, 6th Infantry Division, Philippine Army (6ID, PA) in Camp Siongco, Awang.

The former rebels voluntarily presented themselves to the members of the 37th Infantry Battalion (37IB) under the 6th Infantry Division, Philippine Army.
