The Armed Forces of the Philippines Real Estate Office (AFPREO) welcomed its new Chief, Col Froilando G Angat PAF(GSC) replacing Col Arcangel G Gamido PAF(GSC) in a Change of Chief of Office Ceremony conducted with The Deputy Chief of Staff, AFP (TDCSAFP), LtGen Charlton Sean M Gaerlan PN(M) as the Presiding Officer on September 19 in Camp Aguinaldo.
 
“As the AFP pivots to a modernized Armed Forces, the role of the AFPREO is significant, more so in securing and maintaining the rights of the AFP over its real estate properties all over the country. To the Team AFPREO, the dedication to the service of your office is more significant now than ever. I urge you to give the same amount of enthusiasm and support to your new Chief, keeping in mind that as you fulfill the mandate that is expected of you, you are furthering the AFP’s vision of becoming a world-class Armed Forces that is a source of national pride,” said LtGen Gaerlan.

AFP RECEIVES NEW ISR AIRCRAFT

The Armed Forces of the Philippines received a brand-new Cessna-208B (C-208B) Grand Caravan EX Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) aircraft on September 19 that will boost the AFP’s capability to protect Philippine territory and sovereign rights.

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—General Romeo Brawner Jr, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, expressed his appreciation to the Australian Army during the courtesy visit of Australia’s Army Chief, LtGen Simon Stuart on September 18 at the AFP General Headquarters here.

In their meeting, the two discussed PH-Aus bilateral military partnership, including training, student exchanges, reservist development, non-commissioned officer empowerment, and recruitment.

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the US Indo-Pacific Command (US INDOPACOM) concluded its annual Mutual Defense Board-Security Engagement Board (MDB-SEB) meeting at the AFP General Headquarters in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City on September 14, 2023.

General Romeo Brawner Jr, Chief of Staff of the AFP (CSAFP), and Admiral John Aquilino, Commander of US INDOPACOM) led the event that was marked by fruitful discussions and strategic collaboration reaffirming the steadfast commitment of the PH-US in safeguarding our nations and the Indo-Pacific region. 

GOOD DOGS | VISCOM awards Military Working Dog Achievement Medals to Mugie and Puti

VISCOM Commander LtGen Benefict M Arevalo, confers the Military Working Dog Achievement Medal to Mugie for his significant contributions to AFPMS campaign in the region.

The Visayas Command (VISCOM) proudly recognized the exceptional contributions of two remarkable canines, Mugie and Puti, in their relentless support of our campaign in the Visayas region. 

In a heartwarming ceremony, VISCOM Commander Lieutenant General Benedict M. Arevalo PA, conferred the  Military Working Dog Achievement Medals upon these two heroic four-legged comrades at 302nd Infantry Brigade, Camp Leon Kilat, Negros Oriental.
