CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – Soldier-awardees of the 2023 Metrobank Outstanding Filipinos from the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) were conferred with their awards as exceptional public servants in a Conferment Ceremony conducted on August 29 in Taguig City.  

“Our aim has been to recognize those who have demonstrated exemplary leadership, integrity, and a genuine commitment to serving the people. Today’s recognition is not meant to be an endpoint. It is a call to action, a call for us to rally behind our police officers, our soldiers, our teachers, and other public officials to support their endeavors and to demand excellence from those who hold public office,” said Hon. Francis Joseph Escudero, Chairperson of the Final Board of Judges, during the ceremony. 

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – AFP Chief, General Romeo S Brawner Jr. welcomed the Chief of the Australian Defense Force, General Angus Campbell in a Courtesy Call here at the General Headquarters today, August 29. 

In consonance with the Indo-Pacific Endeavor 2023/Exercise ALON, the two military leaders discussed the Philippines and Australia's partnership and their hopes to conduct more exercises that will help in the development of both nations' Armed Forces.

The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP)-Australian Defence Force (ADF) bilateral amphibious training activity known as “ALON” or “waves” was conducted for the first time and forms part of Australia’s Indo-Pacific Endeavour 2023 (IPE23).
