Ang Sandatahang Lakas ng Pilipinas ay buong-pugay na kumikilala sa mahalagang papel at di-matatawarang ambag ng kababaihan sa lahat ng larangan, sa loob at labas ng ating institusyon.
Ang temang "Lead Like the Babaylans, Filipinas" ay isang paalala na ang kapangyarihan ng babae ay nagmumula sa kaniyang kakayahang mamuno nang may integridad at kahusayan. Tulad ng mga babaylan na kinikilala sa kanilang taglay na tapang at karunungan, ang kababaihan sa ating organisasyon ay nagpapakita ng kahusayan sa pamumuno, disiplina, at dedikasyon sa paglilingkod.
Sa AFP, ang kababaihan ay hindi lamang kalahok, sila ay mga lider, tagapanday ng pagbabago, at haligi ng isang mas matatag at progresibong kinabukasan.
