Off the coast of Zambales, the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), United States Armed Forces, and Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force conducted a Photo Exercise (PHOTOEX) and Replenishment at Sea (RAS) drills during the Multilateral Maritime Event as part of Exercise Balikatan 40-2025.
As part of the ongoing Philippines-United States Exercise Balikatan 40-2025, the United States Marine Corps successfully inserted the Navy-Marine Expeditionary Ship Interdiction System (NMESIS) testing the ability to position the system for the Maritime Key Terrain Security Operations (MKTSO) - North events on 26 April 2025.
Naval forces from the Philippines and the United States successfully conducted a Division Tactics (DIVTACS) drill on 26 April 2025, 21 nautical miles west off the coast of San Felipe, Zambales, as part of the ongoing Multilateral Maritime Event (MME) under Exercise Balikatan 40-2025.
The 960th Air and Missile Defense Group (960AMDG) of the Philippine Air Force shared their knowledge and operational experience during the SPYDER (Surface-to-Air Python and Derby) Subject Matter Expert Exchange (SMEE) at the Naval Education, Training and Doctrine Command in San Antonio, Zambales on April 25.
Working alongside partners from the United States, Japan and the the United Kingdom, Filipino air defenders contributed valuable insights to strengthen multinational cooperation under Exercise Balikatan 40-2025.
The 960th Air and Missile Defense Group of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) participated in a Subject Matter Expert Exchange (SMEE) with the US Marine Corps' 3rd Littoral Anti-Air Battalion and the US Army's 35th Air Defense Artillery at the Naval Education Training and Doctrine Command (NETDC) in San Antonio, Zambales – on Friday, April 25.
The exchange focused on potential integration of the US Marine Air Defense Integrated System (MADIS) and Avenger systems with the PAF’s SPYDER system to enhance joint air and missile defense capabilities, supporting stronger interoperability under this year’s Exercise Balikatan 40-2025.///
