AFP Chief lauds Chaplain Service on its 86th Anniversary

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The Chief of Staff, Armed Forces of the Philippines (CSAFP), General Romeo S Brawner Jr PA joined the 86th Anniversary Celebration of the Chaplain Service, AFP (CHS AFP) on November 23 at the General Headquarters.

The CSAFP commended the CHS AFP for its role as the “Core and the Moral Force of Incalculable Value in Providing Qualitative Enhancement of Values in the AFP.”

“As military officers and religious leaders, your guidance and leadership have a profound impact on the beliefs and identity of our uniformed and non-uniformed personnel. Your open-mindedness and respect for the beliefs and practices of others contribute to inclusivity and harmony, essential elements for promoting peace and development in our country,” said General Brawner Jr.///

CEISSAFP celebrates 25th anniversary

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The Communications, Electronics, and Information Systems Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (CEISSAFP), the unit charged with providing effective and secure command and control infrastructure in the military, celebrated its 25th founding anniversary on November 23. 

General Romeo Brawner Jr, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, graced the event where he lauded CEISSAFP’s innovation and dedication in performing its vital role in the AFP’s mission.

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City — The Chief of Staff, Armed Forces of the Philippines, General Romeo S Brawner Jr PA recognized the achievements of the United Nations Military Observers and Peacekeeping Force Staff Officers, 19th Asian Games Sepaktakraw Bronze Medalists, and the AFP Women’s Volleyball Team in a ceremony conducted on November 24 at the General Headquarters. 

The AFP Chief congratulated the awardees and encouraged them to continue fostering a competitive spirit and inspiring others to strive for greatness in their respective fields to actively contribute to the protection and security of the nation.

BRP Yap, USS Giffords perform passing exercise in WPS

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City--The BRP Conrado Yap (PS39) and the USS Gabrielle Giffords (LCS10) performed passing exercises (PASSEX) on November 22 as part of the 3-day maritime cooperative activity (MCA).

The two ships met and linked up last night west of Lubang Island and completed the exercises aimed at testing communications capabilities for real-life  scenarios.

The MCA demonstrates the commitment of the AFP and USINDOPACOM to the PH-US alliance and in maintaining regional stability and security in accordance with international law and the rules-based international order.

AFP, USINDOPACOM conduct joint maritime cooperative activity

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City--The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the US Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) will conduct a maritime cooperative activity (MCA) on November 21 to 23 aimed at further enhancing interoperability and fostering regional cooperation between the long-standing allies.

The activity will commence in the vicinity of Batanes and will end in the West Philippine Sea. It will involve three navy vessels, two FA-50PH, and one A-29B Super Tucano from the side of the AFP while the US will send in one Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) and one P8-A.

The MCA pursues PH-US principles based on a rules-based international order. It demonstrates the AFP and USINDOPACOM’s commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific Region.#
