AFP, ADF aircraft conduct joint air patrol in WPS

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City — Pilots and crew from the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the Australian Defence Force (ADF) successfully performed a joint air patrol in the West Philippine Sea on November 26, 2023.
 
The Philippine Air Force's A29B Super Tucano, N-22 Nomad, Philippine Navy's BNI2A aircraft, and Australian Defence Force's P-8 Poseidon Maritime Surveillance aircraft demonstrated cooperation and camaraderie as part of the AFP-ADF Maritime Cooperative Activity (MCA).
 
The AFP-ADF MCA aims to enhance maritime interoperability and deepen the PH-AUS strategic partnership as signed by President Ferdinand R Marcos Jr and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese in September.///

AFP Commander-in-Chief leads 73rd FSRR Anniversary

 
CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City — The First Scout Ranger Regiment, Philippine Army celebrated its 73rd Anniversary with the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Commander-in-Chief, President Ferdinand R Marcos Jr on November 25 at Camp Tecson, San Miguel, Bulacan.
 
Also present during the event was Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr; The Chief of Staff, Armed Forces of the Philippines, General Romeo S Brawner Jr. PA; Philippine Army Commanding General, LtGen Roy Galido; and the Regiment Commander, BGen Isagani Criste.

AFP, AUS DEFENCE FORCE COMMENCE 3-DAY MARITIME COOPERATIVE ACTIVITY

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the Australian Defence Force (ADF) will conduct a Maritime Cooperative Activity (MCA) on November 25-27, 2023.

Joint AFP-PNP-PCG ETDC conference concludes

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The Joint Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine National Police, and Philippine Coast Guard Education, Training, and Doctrine Cell (JAPPETDC) 4th Quarter 2023 conference was concluded on November 23 at the Daza Park Pavilion here. 

Based on consolidated reports, a total of 36 trainings on combat, search and rescue, communications, law enforcement, and other matters were held for 427 military, police, and coast guard personnel this year.

PH-US vessels conduct tactical exercise in WPS

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The Armed Forces of the Philippines and the US Indo-Pacific Command conducted maritime tactical exercises as part of the three-day maritime cooperative activity (MCA) in the West Philippine Sea on November 23.

Two vessels of the Philippine Navy, the BRP Jose Rizal and BRP Gregorio Del Pilar, performed cross deck operations, officer of the watch maneuvers, and publication and communication exercises with the USS Gabrielle Giffords. The MCA is expected to conclude at 6 p.m. today with the USS Giffords breaking off west of mainland Palawan.

The MCA is an approved activity of the Mutual Defense Board-Security Engagement Board and within the framework of the PH-US Mutual Defense Treaty. It was aimed at testing protocols and further enhancing interoperability between the AFP and USINDOPACOM.
