The Armed Forces of the Philippines renders military honors to retired General Rodolfo Biazon, former AFP Chief of Staff and Senator of the Republic of the Philippines during his interment on Tuesday, June 20, at the Libingan ng mga Bayani in Taguig City in recognition of his legacy and sacrifices as a soldier, head of the military, and statesman. The Armed Forces of the Philippines renders military honors to the 40 newly promoted generals and flag officers at the AFP General Headquarters on June 20. Said officers were sworn to their respective duties by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr on June 19 in the Malacañan Palace, a rite signifying the supremacy of civilian authority over the military as enshrined in the Constitution.

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City— The Armed Forces of the Philippines affirmed its support for stronger defense cooperation with Japan during the courtesy visit of Tsuchimoto Hideki, Commissioner of the Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics Agency (ATLA) of Japan on June 19 at the AFP General Headquarters here.
General Andres Centino, the Chief of Staff AFP (CSAFP), welcomed and expressed his grateful appreciation to the Japanese official for their assistance in the AFP modernization and capability upgrade program.
