AFP joins send-off of election-duty forces

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), represented by The Deputy Chief of Staff AFP LtGen Charlton Sean Gaerlan, joined the turnover and send-off ceremony of the mutli-agency force that will help ensure security, order, and integrity of the 2023 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) on October 30.

More than 1,100 personnel from the AFP, Philippine National Police, Philippine Coast Guard, and Department of Education were present in the ceremony held at the PNP headquarters in Camp Crame on October 23 and attended by Commission on Elections Chairman George Erwin Garcia.

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—General Romeo Brawner Jr, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, called on officers, enlisted personnel, and civilian employees of the military to be reminded of their duty to the flag and maintain unwavering allegiance to the country at the General Headquarters here on October 23.

The AFP is commemorating the 33rd anniversary of its Code of Conduct highlighted by the renewal of pledge of allegiance to the AFP Code of Conduct.

CSAFP, EU Ambassador welcome more engagements

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—General Romeo Brawner Jr, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (CSAFP), and H.E. Luc Véron, Ambassador of the European Union (EU) to the Philippines, are expecting more engagements between the Philippines and EU member states in the future.

The two met and discussed pertinent security matters during the ambassador’s courtesy visit at the AFP General Headquarters here on October 20.

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – General Romeo S Brawner Jr. PA, The Chief of Staff, Armed Forces of the Philippines (CSAFP) expressed his confidence in the AFP’s Sergeants Major during the Closing Ceremony of the Senior Enlisted Leaders Year-End Consultative Meeting 2023 on October 20.

Also celebrating the 27th Non-Commissioned Officers Week and the 54th Founding Anniversary of the Office of the AFP Sergeant Major, the CSAFP also shared his objective of elevating the level of confidence and competence of Senior Enlisted Personnel.

Sgt Jason D Huerte PAF and A1C Rheyjey C Ortouste PAF. soldier-athletes of the Sepaktakraw event in which they won bronze medals in the Men's Regu and Men's Quadrant categories in the recently concluded 19 Asian Games held at Hangzhou, China.

Congratulations to our inspiring soldier-athletes who represented our country and the AFP in the recently-held Asian Games 2023 and 1st UNTV Volleyball League.

Sgt Jason D Huerte PAF and A1C Rheyjey C Ortouste PAF bagged bronze medals in the Men’s Regu and Men’s Quadrant categories as part of the Sepaktakraw National Team that competed in Hangzhou, China.

Meanwhile, the AFP Lady Gunnar secured the Championship in the inaugural UNTV Volleyball League last October 15, 2023. The team won an amount of PhP500,00.00 which will be given to the AFP Educational Benefit System Office as their chosen beneficiary.
