AFP STATEMENT | AFP prepares vehicles for "Libreng Sakay" ops

In support to the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA), the Armed Forces of the Philippines will be providing 17 military trucks, buses, and coasters from the AFP Major Services and AFP Logistics Command to assist commuters who may be affected by the transport strike on July 24 and the following days.
 
This is also part of the AFP's efforts to help ensure the peaceful and orderly conduct of the President's State of the Nation Address today.
 
The vehicles for the Libreng Sakay will be under the operational control of the JTF-National Capital Region. They are in their respective headquarters until they are given service routes determined by the DOTr and the MMDA. The military vehicles will be deployed when called upon by the Interagency Coordinating Center.

AFP CHANGE OF COMMAND AND RETIREMENT CEREMONY |

General Romeo S Brawner Jr officially took the helm of the Armed Forces of the Philippines today, July 21, 2023 in a Change of Command and Retirement Ceremony in honor of General Andres Centino PA that was presided over by the President His Excellency Ferdinand R Marcos Jr. General Brawner was promoted to a four-star general and officially assumed post as the 60th Chief of Staff, AFP.

AFP STATEMENT | On the appointment of LtGen Romeo Brawner Jr as CSAFP

The Armed Forces of the Philippines welcomes LtGen Romeo Brawner Jr as the new Chief of Staff AFP. The 145,000-strong AFP shall support the incoming CSAFP who has proven his sterling leadership and excellent performance of assigned tasks in the field of AFP operations, modernization and transformation.
 
We also render our snappiest salute to our outgoing CSAFP, General Andres Centino. We wish him the best and look forward to working with him in his next position as the Presidential Adviser on the West Philippine Sea.///

AFP launches #EveryBUDDYLabanSaHIV campaign, advocates accurate info-sharing

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – Scaling up prevention services to AFP personnel, the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) launched the AFP-wide Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) Campaign called #EveryBUDDYLabanSaHIV on July 20 in Camp Victoriano K Luna, Quezon City. 

Together with the Department of Defense (DOD) President’s Emergency Plan for AID Relief (PEPFAR) Philippines, the AFP-wide HIV advocates a broader understanding of HIV and encourages AFP members to collectively work on sharing correct and valuable information to reduce stigma and discrimination.

AFP Educators Celebrate Six Years Capacitating Warrior Thinkers, Leaders

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – Celebrating years of molding warrior-thinkers and leaders of the future, the Armed Forces of the Philippines Education, Training and Doctrine Command (AFPETDC) celebrated its 6th Founding Anniversary July 14 here.

Underscoring the importance of relentless and quality training for the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), the AFP Chief General Andres C Centino served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker during celebration and praised the AFPETDC for demonstrating exemplary diligence as the organization supervising the development of doctrines in the AFP.
