AFP Chief meets U.S. Army Chief

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City--General Andres Centino, the Chief of Staff of the AFP, met with General James McConville, Chief of Staff of the United States Army, during the latter's courtesy visit at the AFP General Headquarters on May 10.
 
In their meeting, the two military leaders discussed the growing bilateral relationship between the Philippines and the United States, which was highlighted by the recent visit of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr to the United States.

CPT PORTIA ANGELA C PARILLA MC, an Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgeon representing the Philippines, made the country proud by earning third place among 10 delegates in the Young ASEAN Military Medicine Officer (YAMMO) presentation themed "Next Innovation" with her research presentation entitled "A Workshop for Training in Ear Framework Creation Using Silicone Dental Impression Material: A Surgical Innovation for Training" during the 10th ASEAN Chiefs of Military Medicine Conference (ACMMC) held on 13-17 March 2023 in Krung Thep Maha Nakhon, Thailand. The competition aimed to showcase innovative solutions for military medical care that could be implemented in the ASEAN region.

CSAFP visits troops of Army’s 801st Brigade in Samar

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City--General Andres Centino, the AFP Chief of Staff, visited the troops of the 801st Infantry Brigade based in Hinabangan, Samar on May 4.
 
He was welcomed by its commander, BGen Lenart Lelina, who also provided the CSAFP with updates on the internal security campaign in its area of operations.

FUNERAL HONORS TO FORMER AFP CHIEF

The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) rendered funeral honors to the former Chief of Staff, AFP, General Diomedio P Villanueva Sr (Ret) today, May 04 at the AFP General Headquarters. The Vice Chief of Staff, AFP, LtGen Arthur M Cordura PAF led the military honors for the former CSAFP where he was joined by the late General’s family.
