CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City--The AFP Chief of Staff, General Andres C Centino met with the Ambassador of Turkey, Niyazi Eyren Akyol during the latter's courtesy call on January 10 at the General Headquarters.
In their meeting, the CSAFP expressed his gratitude for the significant contribution of the Government of Turkey to the AFP modernization with the acquisition of the Philippine Air Force Attack Helicopter (AHAP T129) and Philippine Army M113 APC Fire Power Upgrade.
The Change of Command of the Chief of Staff, AFP went on smoothly this morning between the outgoing, LT GEN BARTOLOME VICENTE O BACARRO PA, to the incoming, GEN ANDRES C CENTINO PA. As a professional organization, the whole AFP is united behind the leadership of GEN CENTINO as it continues to perform its mission of protecting the people and defending territorial integrity and national sovereignty.

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) is providing land, sea and air transportation support as well as manpower to ensure the safe and successful tour of the relics of St. Therese of the Child Jesus across the country.
The relic of the Little Flower of Jesus arrived in Pasay City from Lisieux, France on Monday, January 2 which coincided with her 150th birth anniversary. It also marked the 5th Philippine visit of the pilgrim relic which will make the rounds of various dioceses and selected military chaplaincies until April 30.
