The Balikatan 40-2025 Maritime Strike target vessel sank off the west coast of the Philippines prior to the event commencing today.
The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) recognized outstanding performance and institutional achievements during a recognition ceremony held today, following the flag-raising event at Camp Aguinaldo. The event was led by AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo S. Brawner Jr.
The 3rd Marine Brigade (3MBDE) led a large-scale amphibious landing exercise on 04 May 2025 in Balabac, Palawan as part of Balikatan 40-25. The training simulated the retaking of a strategic island, focusing on joint forcible entry operations, beachhead establishment, and inland objective securing. It formed part of the Maritime Key Terrain Security Operations (MKTSO).
Conducted alongside the United States Armed Forces and the Australian Defence Force—with observers from the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force and UK Royal Marines—it showcased the growing interoperability and cohesion among partner nations in maintaining regional security.
The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), in partnership with United States forces, demonstrated synchronized firepower and rapid response as they conducted a high-intensity Counterlanding and Live-Fire Exercise on May 3 in Barangay Dodan, Aparri, Cagayan — a key event under Exercise Balikatan 40-25.
