AFP reaffirms protection, promotion of Human Rights

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City— In celebration of this year's National Human Rights Consciousness Week, members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) pledged to continue the protection and promotion of Human Rights during the flag-raising ceremony held on Monday, December 5, at the AFP General Headquarters.

The Vice Chief of Staff, AFP Major General Arthur Cordura who represented the AFP Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Bartolome Vicente Bacarro, presided over the ceremony, which was attended by Officers, Enlisted Personnel, and Civilian Human Resources of the AFP.

AFP commits support on putting an end to HIV/AIDS

Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City – The AFP affirms its commitment to support in putting an end to HIV/AIDS as it joins the World AIDS Day 2022 held at the Tejeros Hall, AFPCOC, Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City on December 2, 2022, with the theme: “Unifying the Armed Forces Towards Ending HIV/AIDS Amidst the Challenges and Pandemics”.
 
World AIDS day is observed every December 1 to bring awareness and encourage HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, and care.

ROTC cadets gather in 2022’s ROTC Summit

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—Cadets and officers of ROTC programs nationwide gathered in this year’s ROTC summit held at the Tejeros Hall here and online on December 3 with AFP Chief of Staff LtGen Bartolome Vicente Bacarro as the Guest of Honor and Speaker.
 
With the theme, “ROTC Cadets of Today, Leaders of Tomorrow,” the Summit aims to advocate the promotion of the ROTC and highlight the enhancement of the reserve force of the AFP.

AFP switches on Christmas lights at military camps

Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City - Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff LtGen Bartolome Vicente O Bacarro led the Thanks-giving mass and Christmas tree lighting ceremony at the Lapu-Lapu Grandstand, Camp Aguinaldo on Friday, December 2.
 
The military camps nationwide simultaneously lit up their Christmas trees on Friday, an event meant to inspire joy and hope, and awaken the spirit of nationalism and love of service in all soldiers.

373 Youth Leaders join the tour at Philippine Military Academy

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) in partnership with the National Youth Commission (NYC) organized the educational tour of 373 youth leaders from all over the country at the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) in Baguio City from November 24 to 27.
 
The tour was aimed to further educate the youth on matters related to national security challenges, Filipino culture, and patriotism. It was also the chance to inform and encourage aspiring youth leaders to become PMA cadets or AFP Reservists.
